Slice of Life: Bed Time

Clock, Pocket Watch, Movement

Bedtime:

Penciled in: 10 PM

Going to bed: 1 AM

Who needs to adhere to time?

My kids?

No, It is Me.

It is 1:05 AM

I just posted my last assignment for the Reflective Writing Club, a 6 week collaborative experience provided by  Online Network of Educators.  I am happy for my final submission for the project, tired and know that I need to hit the bed.  I had intended to be in bed by 10 PM but it is not happening.  It is late.  I need to be in bed.  There is a long list of things I need to finish tomorrow including dreaded bathroom cleaning.

Why can’t I pay someone for house cleaning?  Do I want to pay someone for house cleaning?

Tomorrow is a brand new day.  Or is it today?

Well, Good Night, Good Morning friends.  I am off to bed. Finally.

Wait, I need to publish this post, link it and tweet it.  Dang!

Soon.  Soon.  There will be morning and smell of freshly brewing coffee.  But before that, let me hit the bed.

  1. If I went to sleep at 1 am, I would be in big trouble. I’m much more apt to wake up then and be unable to fall back asleep. I hope you got some sleep and are refreshed! Congrats on finishing your Reflective Writing Club!

  2. Who needs to adhere to time? What a fun question. Also, I love how your list of things that have to be done keeps going even after you say goodnight.

  3. Yikes. I could never stay up that late on a school night. I’d never be able to function the next day. So, I guess the answer to your question is ME. I need to adhere to the time!

  4. It’s so hard for me to adhere to my bedtimes too… I’m so exhausted, and then after the kids are asleep, I start working and then suddenly it gets so late!

  5. Great post. I’ve been there many times– a blog post or online work always take me longer than I think it will. Hope you can play some catch up. Fun to read! ~ Sheri

  6. My son reminded me to go to bed on time tonight so he can “teach me” how to play xBox tomorrow after school- they have a half day tomorrow.

It does take me longer to complete online work. Besides, nighttime is so peaceful to complete assignments.

Mark, Steve always makes coffee. Many days morning coffee is our connection time – even when we just sit across and sip the coffee. The days I am working late, no morning coffee date with hub. One more reason to go to bed before midnight 🙂

    Best.
