To my child(ren)

Summer afternoon,

Lazy, Breezy, Carefree.

Enjoy, Relax, Be a child.

 

Before long, the calendar will move the pages.

Summer will be gone

and….

so will this carefree days.

 

Be

A Child,  A Girl & A Boy  Little longer

Before Becoming A Woman, A Man

And shepherding the responsibilities.

Stay.

a child little longer.

For me.

  1. Welcome back. Purviben. Your stanzas remind me of advice a 10th grader wrote to me when I was a student teacher, decades ago: “Keep your young self with you always.” Thanks for helping keep that memory alive.

      Thanks for visiting. So good to see you back 🙂

      In this fast paced world, I want to hold on to my kids and let them soar. We push our kids too fast to grow up, to worry about tomorrow and do not let them experience today. Therefore, I had to remind myself to let them be kids, let them breath & grow at their own pace.
