While walking around in the store, my eyes glanced at The Pigeon Has to Go to School. I had to read it right there and then. I chuckled while reading it. What a complete circle for the pigeon!! Finally, he will be allowed to get on the bus 🙂 🙂 He is invited to get on the bus 🙂 🙂

I like the story for its simplicity, the message, and just for the pigeon. Mo, take a bow for giving voice to children just starting school, all of us who are afraid and fighting with ourselves before starting a new endeavor. Talk about intrinsic motivation, a cause that allows us to overcome our fears, our excuses and embrace a new journey.

I relate to this book on a personal level. I am on my journey of becoming a marriage and family therapy. Soon I will start field experience. I also have insecurities, just like the pigeon. Like him, I am overcoming them as I am looking forward to earning my degree and starting a career helping families define strong for themselves.
